This is the reality for most self employed people as ACC defaults to the minimum cover until you provide your last 12 months set of accounts

Fortunately ACC now has a 2nd option: 'Coverplus Extra' whereby you can now choose your level of cover.

Unlike the traditional option, 'Coverplus', this is an Agreed Value cover which financially guarantees the payment without the need for proof of earnings at time of claim.

In addition you receive 100% when partially returning to work until you're fully recovered
